Before You Order

Everything you need to know before you order.

A short reference for first-time and returning customers. Tap any topic below to expand the details — lead times, pricing buckets, dietary options, and customization.

Most boxed boards are made to order, so timing matters. Each product page lists the cutoff window for the day you need it.

  • Same-day boxes available with morning cutoff — see product page for the exact hour.
  • Scheduled delivery for a future date can be locked in at checkout.
  • Larger or fully custom orders need additional lead time — typically 3 to 7 days depending on scale.

If your date is tight, send a note and we'll confirm what's possible before you place the order.

Boxed boards come in three pricing buckets — pick the one that matches your headcount and occasion.

  • Individual single-serve boxes — perfect for picnics, gifting, or per-guest service at smaller events.
  • Group-size shareable boxes — built to feed a table of 4 to 12 with curated cheese, meat, fruit, and accompaniments.
  • Fully custom orders — quoted to your guest count, theme, and dietary needs.

See the product pages for current pricing or request a quote for custom builds.

We build around dietary needs and event themes — flag what you need at checkout or in your inquiry.

  • Vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options available across most box sizes.
  • Common allergens — nuts, dairy, gluten — can be flagged or removed on request.
  • Custom themes supported with advance notice — branded boxes, color palettes, holidays, and event-specific builds.

If you don't see a need listed, ask. Most modifications are possible with enough lead time.

The Practical Details

Straight answers, real numbers.

How far ahead should I order?

Give us 3 to 5 business days for most orders. Around the holidays things book up fast, so 1 to 2 weeks ahead is safest. Grazing tables and events book out earlier — reserve your date as soon as you have it.

Where do you deliver?

Boards and boxes deliver around the Tri-Valley area: delivery is $2 per mile after the first 5 miles from our Livermore kitchen, and pickup in Livermore is always free. Grazing tables, events, and workshops travel across the whole Bay Area.

How long does a board keep, and how long can it sit out?

Eat it within 24 hours of pickup or delivery. Keep it refrigerated until about 30 minutes before serving — cheese tastes best at room temperature. Once out, charcuterie is safe at room temperature for up to 4 hours.

Can you handle allergies and dietary needs?

Our kitchen works with nuts and gluten, so nothing is guaranteed 100% allergen-free — but we happily build vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, and nut-free boards. Tell us when you order.

Do you ship out of state?

No. Everything is made fresh, so we deliver locally only — the way cheese should be.
